Where are we

Red Ridge Centre stands in its own grounds, several miles from the small village of Cefn Coch, 16 miles from the Welsh Market town of Welshpool, Mid Wales.

Please do not look up ‘Cefn Coch’ on your map as there are several and ours is rarely marked on ordinary road maps. Many prospective visitors mistakenly arrive at another Cefn Coch, some 25 miles from us, near to Llanrhaeadr.

Suggested approach routes

From Welshpool take the A458 (towards Dolgellau) due West to Llanfair Caereinion.

The Red Ridge Centre is 7 miles from Llanfair Caereinion and is clearly signposted as above, from the trunk road in Llanfair Caereinion. The signs are large brown signs with white writing. Please use signs in conjunction with the following instructions:

Turn left off the A458 and cross over the river bridge into Llanfair Caereinion. Follow the main street, passing HSBC on your left, and turn left 90 metres after HSBC. There is a signpost at this junction to ‘Outdoor Pursuits Centre’ and to ‘Cefn Coch’.

After approximately 500 metres take the first right (immediately opposite the garage on your left) and again signposted to ‘Outdoor Pursuits Centre’ and to ‘Cefn Coch’.

Continue for about 4 miles – enter the village of Cefn Coch. This is a small village with the Cefn Coch Inn on your left. Go straight through the village and continue for approximately 1 mile until you reach a telephone box (which may be removed soon!) where the road splits and passes either side. Take the right fork which is signposted ‘Outdoor Pursuits Centre’ and ‘No through road’.

After 1.3 miles, at the end of the lane, you will come to two driveways on your left, 50 metres apart. The first one is marked as ‘Red Ridge Centre’. Turn into this drive, and drive around the back of the centre where you will find the main entrance. Go through the double doors and take the 2nd door on your left immediately before the telephone box. Go straight through two sets of double doors into the main dining room.

If you cannot see anyone to help you, go into the lounge area at the end of the dining room. Dial 0 on the telephone, which you will find on the table on your left. Alternatively, exit the dining room and go down the steps to the Directors house and ring the porch bell.
