This special weekend has been building in popularity since we introduced it 6 years ago. It is an opportunity for teaching staff to enjoy a relaxed weekend at Red Ridge without the pressure of the children. It is also an opportunity for you to meet the Red Ridge Staff, who will be attending the dinner. We have changed the format a little again this year. We hope that you will enjoy the new programme. We are now taking bookings so please contact us as soon as possible to ensure that we reserve places for you. The weekend is for teachers, partners and friends. If you wish to bring a group of 8 or 10 please just ask, but book early.
The new climbing frame was constructed during 2006. This has been a great success with all ages and abilities and we will be adding 50% to the height in the near future. The room previously used by Red Ridge Staff as dining and office space will, in future, be used by visiting groups. Walls have also been removed at the other end of the main dining room to make that area more open plan and give more space. We now accommodate two groups in two different dining rooms making it much easier for visiting staff to 'exercise control'over their own groups. A new disabled bathroom has now been constructed downstairs, adjacent to the current Girls bathroom and the new Laundry area. Some internal walls have been moved in the area outside the boys and girls bathrooms providing much needed widened corridors, giving easier access to wheel chair users. Two new drying rooms are being constructed between the games room and the new kit store and will eventually be linked to the main centre by a covered walkway. The present laundry area will be refurbished and updated during the course of the year. The long awaited new kit store is on its way and will provide undercover facilities for groups to put on harnesses, buoyancy aids etc. A new bathroom facility with access from outside will be provided ensuring that groups will no longer need to remove dirty shoes before entering the building to use the toilets. |
